Description:
A Specialist Dentist is a clinician who is PRC certified specialist, practicing dentistry for at least 5 years. The clinician has a practice specific expertise on any of the following fields: Endodontics, Maxillofacial Surgery, Orthodontics, Pedodontics, Prosthodontics, and Restorative dentistry and public health dentist
Specialists are by invitation only, invited by the DSCD Incorporators, Interviewed and screened by the committee on promotions.

- Professional fees respective to the services offered.
Credentials:
- DMD Diploma
- Certificate of Registration (PRC)
- Certificate of Recognition as a Specialist by PRC and Fellow/Doctorate by affiliated speciality organization
- Training Certificates Issued by any of the specialty organization affiliated with the Philippine Dental Association
- Diploma or Training certificates issued by a dental school or training institute duly recognized by PRC
Note: Preceptorship training certificates are not recognized as valid credentials, however may be submitted as reference of training experiences.
Job Description:
- Assist and provide Guidance to Residents and Associate Dentists
- Take Patients Vital Signs
- Gather Patient Medical and Dental History
- Establish Diagnosis and Treatment Plan
- Take Periapical Radiograph ( Patients on-going Treatment)
- May Perform General practice other than their specialization however, limited to specialty specific management in accordance to the DSCD Specialty Management Procedures (SMP).
Opportunities:
- Eligible to purchase stocks from DSCD with or without privilege to practice.
- Eligible to purchase stocks with privilege to practice as a specialist with consultant status.
- Eligible for Referral fees under the field of specialization.
- Entitled to a 5% Referral rebate
